DESCRIPTION:Regina & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Ministry of the Economy are pleased to present.......\n\n"Emerging Labour Force Trends"\n\n \nSession Highlights:\n\nSaskatchewan Demographic Characteristics - a demographic overview will be provided that will highlight opportunities and challenges for Saskatchewan employers in the future.\n\n \nMedically Supervised\, Athletically Driven\, Corporate Performance - The Transition Game\, Geroy Simon & Jacob Pope\, Aspen Medical - If your team feels good about themselves and their jobs\, they are going to be more inclined to do everything possible to excel at the highest level. Just as in an athletic setting\, each individual working toward his or her personal best creates a stronger whole.  In Geroy's words: "This is a game-changing concept. We are able to show our clients that we have the ability to empower employees to adopt a mindset of performance. It starts by teaching them the tools that we as athletes use each day." \n\n \nAboriginal Engagement - what are some of the best practices when engaging Aboriginal people into your workforce?  SaskEnergy has been very successful Aboriginal people and will share some insights\n\n\n\nDr. Linda Duxbury is Canada's most accomplished research\, writer and speaker on the work life balance. Dr. Duxbury will present a range of information related to research she has done on:\n\nManaging a Changing Workforce\n\nManaging a Changing Workforce: Changing How We Manage\n\n\n\nSession 2\n\nChange: How To Change\n\n\n\nSkills Training and Labour Market Attachment - this session will feature information on what training institutions are doing with employers in the Regina Area to help train students to meet the needs of Regina's economy today and tomorrow.\n\n\n\nImmigration & Settlement Services - immigration is one source of labour that is being increasingly used by employers to access skills from around the world.  This session will feature information about various immigration streams as well as present information about settlement services offered in Regina.
